I’m Jolene Varney. I am a former corporate, CFO, general manager turned Real Estate/Entrepreneur now doing what I love.
I grew up in a small town in Iowa (Go Hawks!), on a farm with many girl’s dream – horses. We worked hard, I put myself through college and embarked on my business journey which moved me 9 times throughout the U.S. and Europe over my career.
I joined Kimberly-Clark and spent 18 years in a great company that taught me leadership, teamwork and accountability. We focused on top-line growth and bottom-line margins through cost discipline and process efficiency. Great financials leaders at the company were taught to understand the business first and then the numbers. I left Kimberly-Clark and spent the second half of my career in healthcare and working for
private equity backed companies.
Over my 9 relocations and purchasing my personal homes, I loved remodeling and taking a great home in a great location and making it better. I applied that to business as well – my career was spent across projects, restructuring, building, buying and
growing companies. I learned general management, financial management and project management. My companies ranged from large organizations to start-ups.

My joy in life is Olivia, my daughter. Olivia is special needs and has Down Syndrome. I could not be prouder of what she has accomplished. She teaches me every day to find joy and beauty in the simple things in life.
We are active in the special needs community – Special Olympics, our “CheerAbilities” team and her special needs community. We love the outdoors and spend time in Colorado and Arkansas enjoying nature, the lakes, hiking, and riding horses.
I am now a consultant/advisor to companies and a real estate investor. I own real estate that combines a ‘business” – short term rentals, storage facilities, mobile home parks and an RV park.
I am now focused on taking my 25+ years of business, growth, M&A and financial experiences – I call this my “tool belt” of experiences – and focusing on building my business portfolio.
